Rural Retreat - Cuatre Finques
>> RUSTIC DREAMING <<
We arrived to a blissful setting and a warm welcome from Nicky and her beautiful family.
The perfect retreat to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary, Cuatre Finques exceeded all expectations and then some! If relaxation in an idyllic setting is what you are after .. then look no further .. you have found it in this blissful spanish rural getaway!
Full of colour & a mix of modern-rustic details, I didn't know which way to turn first! Every corner brought something different but just as delightful as the next! Sipping the locally sourced wine at the bar with a mountain back drop or taking a little siesta (when in Spain!) and swaying in the hammock - this place is picture perfect!
WHITE WASH - ROOMS
White and serene it was a pleasure to wake up here. A delicate scent of Ginger Lilly hit me every time I walked into our room - comforting and up lifting!
The honesty bar, straw hats and the personal welcome letter are only a few examples which add to the charm of this boutique.
Complimentary breakfast was served with love in our chosen & private location around the grounds. We even added a champagne breakfast on the Sunday - I can't think of a better way to toast such an occasion!
I could go on for hours about the details, find out more about the wine tasting tour, white villages and vineyards that surround this beautiful boutique below ..
LOCAL BODEGA - WINE TASTING
A 10-15 minute drive from Cuatre Finques and we arrived at a traditional local bodega http://bodegasgutierrezdelavega.es (bookings made in advance). Not only did we get to sample some of the beautiful wines from this region , we also had the pleasure of meeting and touring with the owner himself, hearing all of the stories he had to tell about the journey of the Bodega, letting us sample the wine he had served at one of the Royal weddings in Spain from 2002! Highly recommended should you have the pleasure of visiting this quaint little area.
WHITE VILLAGES - ALTEA
Wandering the clean & white wash streets of Altea was the perfect end to a perfect trip! Meandering through (and up!) the narrow spanish streets to find the old town at the top of the village with the elaborate blue shimmering roof cathedral lighting the way was a highlight. The little boutiques we came across along the way added to the experience of course! An abundance of white flowing dresses, bright prints, and wicker basket weave bags! An absolute dream!!
